Just wondering whether or not any Riders fans wish to meet up prior to the June 17 gig, I will be staying at the Travel Inn , next to the London Eye, and thought we could either meet up in their bar or in the Slug and Lettuce around the corner at lunch time, I have been a Doors fan since 1974 and this is my first Riders gig, in all that time I've never met any like minded souls to discuss the band with, I was fortunate enough to be staying at the Travel Inn the night Brian Wilson played SMILE for the first time, a few of his band came back to the Travel Inn after the show and sung with the beach boys fans till 3am,it was a wonderful celebration of Wilson's music and it would be great to celebrate the Doors/Riders in the same spirit,anyone keen to meet up email me on voxpop2020@hotmail.com I am in the midst of a Doors 40th Anniversary article for 2020 magazine , its run to 35 pages thus far and would love to collate fans memories as a separate piece in the following issue with hopefully a review or two of the recent Riders Tour, thanks in advance and hope to meet some of you next month , James.
