Great Pics guys, sorry been so quiet trying to catch up on work, toward the end of the show some guy squeezed in between Greg and I and at the end when one of the roadies were handing out set lists I cleanly grabbed one and this prick damn near rips it trying to take it out of my hand, I told him I was going to break his hand. We did have some fun hanging out before the show (mini tailgate/stalking the band party.) Damn near fell asleep at the wheel 3 or 4 times driving back home-rolled in about 2:30 am but it was worth it. Never thought in my life I could get this close to these guys-Ray, Robby, Ty, Phil and Brett thanks a million for the show, you guys are the best. Hope to see you guys again - keep on rockin!
BABYOZONE
DOES ANYONE HAVE THE SET LIST IN THE ACTUAL ORDER PLAYED???????

THANKS!
BABYOZONE
THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT PICTURES & VIDEO!!!! IT'S ALREADY EMBEDDED IN MY MEMORY, BUT IT IS DEFINATELY AN AUTOMATIC PICKMEUP DURING THE DAY!

Not a single person went home disapointed from that concert.

I had one of the greatest times ever, everything felt good. I got to hang out with some cool ppl, mini tailgate, stalking band party lol was very fun, actually we just hung out side and Brett walked past us twice and I got to talk with Phil again, so gutted I missed a chance to talk with Ty but it was wonderful, I really can't complain.

I am so excited for next week and we can't wait to see Chris again.

What do you guys mean the crowd went silent during Ray's solo? I was front row and didn't notice. Is that a good or bad thing?
Jimbo
I'd say good

I understand the cheering and hooping at a concert 'cause the band rocks, but aren't you really there to hear them play and sing? The crowd was yammering the whole night and deservedly so during performances but when Ray broke in to his LMF solo the yammering seemed to die down and people were listening and paying the music the respect and attention it deserved. cool.gif

Does anyone have an audio recording of this concert? Or know where I could get one?

I was just going through my photos from this night and figured a few people here might dig these two from the meet and greet:

This is a C/P from another site of my review of the Chicago show.....Sorry for the delay!

After over 25 years of being a Doors fan, I have finally seen them. The show was originally scheduled to be at the Vic Theatre, but was changed to the Park West due to under-promoting in the Chicago area.

What a cool place the Park West is! I thought my general admission tickets would put me somewhere in the upper deck. We got there early enough to sit in the front row! As the opening act (Michael Doman) pressed on, more and more people stood in front of the stage, making it hard to see. We got up and moved to within a foot of the stage and remained there for the entire show.

Then the band came out!

How can I explain the thrill being 10 feet from Ray the entire show. Robby strolled to our side several times which was a treat. Robby played with his eyes closed most of the night but you could see him smile when we cheered him on! Ray appeared happy and relaxed playing in his hometown.

Ray and Robby were awesome. Always have been fantastic musicians. Robby is underrated as a guitarist in my opinion.

The music was great and Brett did a good job singing the tunes! He came to the front of the stage and shook hands with a lot of fans, including me! What's with all the spitting though? Never seen a singer spit so much.

On a funny side note, there was a pretty 18-20 year old girl next to me flashing her boobs at the band. After the show, the drummer walked up to my 40 year old wife and handed her a set list! Nice to see that she can compete with the youngsters without pulling out her hooters!!

I bought Doman's CD and really like it. You should check him out! Kinda reminds me of a hipper Dylan. Nice guy too. Met him after the show and he signed the CD.

It was cool meeting Wha Happened and AK. Wish we could have hung out more. You guys were younger than I thought!

My only disappointment was that 'Moonlight Drive' and 'Riders On The Storm' were not played. I think the show was slightly shortened due to the small turnout. It was pretty cool hearing 'Strange Days' though!

I dont understand why they arent playing much longer! THey have plenty of more possible songs. Saw Roger Waters JUNE 2, at wachvia played close to 3 hours of music. Why arent they bringing out some more songs? Not mad or anything, love the doors/ROTS, and think they paly better then a roger waters concert ( it was still a amazing concerT) but they should play some more
Jimbo
well Ray's a champ but you cannot deny nature and two hours of keyboard is going to be sore on anyone's fingers so I'd imagine he gets pretty tired, as would Robby and anyone else. Personally two hours is fine for me, sure I'd like to hear them do the entire catalog in one sitting but I think they play a pretty satisfying setlist already
gt1009
I heard, and believe it to be true, that the park west had a ten p.m curfew for the bands. This would make sense because the band got off stage at about 9:59. But still an awesome show!!!!
