Hello everyone....I am a singer who has always looked to The Doors as my main inspiration for doing what I love doing best...singing.....below is a link where you can check out some of my work including my lastest addition and accomplishment, Riders on the Storm, that I received a great response on. Just click on the link, the song name, then the pic of a speaker and you can listen to the song, with no download needed. I worked hard in trying to capture the essence of Jim's original vocal work and feel I came very close and it would have made him happy.....hope you all will take the time to check it out....peace.... kev

Nice work Kev, I have a video around here somewhere of me doing Riders on the Storm karoke from November. The sounds not great since it was shot with a digital camera but im pretty happy with how it came out smile.gif

Perhaps, I'm a little shy and again the audio's not perfect. Oh and I'll just say it now, in the video its evident I was having a lot of trouble with the mic cable, it kept getting in my way so I kept moving it and stepping over it. In my user profile here you can see a picture of me singing from a different occasion (and you may notice the slight Ian Astbury influence in what I'm wearing wink.gif)

Hey Kev,
Like it.... also listened to your "No more Mr Nice Guy" which I hadn't heard for years - great performance, is there any chance that you could add any more doors songs to the list, some of the more rocky numbers would be great.

all the best

Very nice Kev! Also liked LRM - you might give Ian a run for his money!!!

Oh, and come on Jimbo, let's see it! Just wondering, what are you holding in your hand in that picture? It looks like a mic, but it doesn't look real. Come on, this could be your big break! Maybe Ray is listening!!

It's a fake mic, at halloween a bunch of us went to a party as the crew from girls gone wild. We made a fake hand mic as you see, a fake boom mic, and a fake camera. Also made the t-shirts cool.gif

I'll post it soon, but again the audio is a little shot and the solos are cut in ROTS so I miss a few cues

Excellent Jimbo! Thanks for posting that! Your voice is very low - is that natural for you, or did you have to try to lower it to fit the song? Just wondering because it has a nice quality to it.

nice job!

thats my natural singing voice, when I talk its a tad higher than that. Also different songs I sing will come out differently. The Doors are one of the few bands I'm confident in singing because a low voice fits their music. Thanks for the kind words smile.gif
