This site has existed for a while, but it has never had anything on it. I'm sure I recall someone saying in January or February that the site would be ready in March or April. Anyone know anymore about this? I would love to see an offical ROTS site!

Last I heard the site was on hold. If I find out more, I'll let you know. Since I get a few e-mails on this per week, I have requested to get the link on that site fixed to point to http://www.raymanzarek.us/rots.html, but that change hasn't been made yet.

what would even be on that site, though? that isnt on ray or robby's? set lists, "news," pictures...i mean, maybe mp3s but other than that, how much content is there now that we're on such a limited timetable?

Well, all the pictures and setlists could be transferred to the ROTS site; it seems a more appropriate place to put them.

Here's the way I'd do things

Make TheDoors.com into something good. Toss all the individual info on the guys from their individual sites onto TheDoors.com. Screw individual sites... it's unnecessary. Have someone dedicated to posting news updates like Ida does on her own site. Solo projects like Rays new book or album, Robby appearing with other bands and John showing up at various benefits all goes on TheDoors.com. You obviously have to keep Riders separate because... well we know why.

Then create a Riders site with all the Riders stuff that already exists. Take all the photos, set lists, news articles- ALL the good Riders stuff that exists from between Ray and Robby's site and put it onto RIDERSONTHESTORM.COM. Most importantly- create a single Riders forum that is separate from TheDoors.com

Dave having to post Riders info on both Ray and Robby's site as well as having to keep an eye on two sets of forums that are completely unncecessary is just silly.

Doors info and individual member info and solo projects (besides Riders obviously) go on TheDoors.com

Riders info goes on RidersontheStorm.com

Jeff has been saying in the press lately that even though John sued Ray and Robby, the guys are still brothers and they're working together. Yeah? Well it doesn't look that way. Right now it looks like you have 3 divided guys, all sticking to their own websites. You want to make it look like they're unified in some way- start with the websites. The solo pages are unnecessary and the solo message boards in particular make it look like these three guys aren't as close and together as Jeff wants us to believe. You can keep Riders separate from The Doors... as retarded in theory as that is. But jesus... unify the 3 Doors. Right now they look like 3 brothers who are all sitting in their own rooms with the doors closed (no pun intended).
