was at a used bookstore today. tiny little place with tons and tons of old stuff and right in the middle of a pile of stephen kings and movie screenplays was "The Doors" by William Ruhlman. it's a coffee table-type book with no new info and all previously printed pictures, but it's nice nonetheless. cool pictures of ray, john, and robby after jim's death. also some cool early jim, doors pics...my favrorite pic that i havent seen before is a shot of the band on stage shot from the point of view of someone in the crowd. looks cool - first person Doors cool.gif

Mary Beth, I'm like you, I thought I had all The Doors books that were available, but this proves differently. I'm definitely gonna be on the lookout for this one! ohmy.gif

Thanks Universal, for telling us about it. wink.gif

It really is a nice book. Nothing new, but it's oversized, so there are a lot of nice glossy photos in there. If I remember correctly, it originally came with a poster in it (an outtake of the 'Waiting for the Sun' album cover). I think it was originally around $20, but I won't know for sure until I find the original dust jacket. It was originally published in 1991.

Universal,

Could you scan something for us? Either one of the pics or the front cover?? Would be nice to see.

my favorite from the book. something about the view from the audience makes this one special. don't see many like this.

Thanks universal, so cool. I also love the audience view picture - those do seem rare. It would've been something to be a part of that audience!

Yeah. Good pics. Jim looked like he was ready(stage shot). He was defintely in his prime at that point.

Hi... i have it, but with a different cover, and this one doesn't have two pictures of yours.

I didn't know that there were other prints of The Doors Forever... What is the date of your book's print?

I pulled out my "The Doors Illustrated History" by Danny Sugerman the other day and started reading it again. Just a real good collection of photos and news/magazine stories through the years. I'm enjoying it all over again.
