Has anyone checked out the new Doors Box Set? Is there anything new? It appears to be the same old (don't get me wrong, great) studio album retreads.

i believe you're refering to Love/Death/Travel. it was created as a sampler set for radio stations and other media outlets by Doors Management to hype interest before the really new releases (BMA, the documentary, etc). it's a 4-disk (i think) set with almost every studio song (missing something like 7 or 8) and comes with some limited edition lithographs and photographs (these are autographed by the photographer i think). the title comes from a jim quote..."all of our songs are about love, death, or travel..."...it's on rhinohandmade.com and there are only 2500 copies since it wasnt intended for commercial sales...just for media personnel, but these are for hardcore collectors since there is nothing new, material-wise.

i just got confirmation for my order, that it's been shipped. i'll post what i think of it as a whole once it gets here. i got it purely for its collectability and to have it, along with the lithographs.
