A couple questions for ya Mary-Beth:
Why is Ray performing at a little 400 seat theater in a small town? Everybody has heard of The Doors so you would think that he wouldn't play out here at all!
As for me and The Doors I will rent the movie again and I will also get some cd's at the library. It has been years since I have seen the movie so I can't say much about it.

Hey there Tacker, I'm not sure I have any "real" answers for you because they would have to come directly from Ray himself.....with that said I could speculate if you would like...but it would only be speculation, Dave, who is our webmaster here may be able to shed a clearer light on your questions....so Dave, please answer if you can???? For the moment I will just speculate for you, tacker.
1st question: Why is Ray performing at a little 400 seat theater in a small town? Everybody has heard of The Doors so you would think that he wouldn't play out here at all! ........Ray like to play in intimate settings, he has played in small venues many times before this one, I think it's about taking the music and show where ever...and just to be able to preform for the fans...that's what's important to Ray!
2nd Question:What will we be expecting when Ray is on stage? What songs will he play? Will he have a band?
.....Ray is just a phenomal human being and excellent communicator, and a dynamite musician...beyond that I can't answer anything else because I am not Ray and unfortunately i am not privy to that info.....as i said before Dave, our webmaster here and he also is Ray's webmaster at www,RayManzarek.com Dave may be able to answer those question because he does indeed speak to Ray from time to time.
Definitely rent the movie...actually you may be better off just buying the movie, I think they have it at "Best Buys" for 9.99, becaue that may be something you would want to hang onto and watch.....I myself have watched it over 50 times...and each time I see something I didn't see........hang out here and read the posts.....all I know is you are in for a real treat when you see Ray!!! Hope I helped you out alittle.
Peace,
