Hi, I've just read that Jim had a fling with Janice Joplin, does anyone know anything about this?

I think he pulled her hair and made her cry

I know she drank 'Southern Comfort" and every chance she got she tried to hit him over the head with her bottle.....word has it that they were oil and water...he once made a drunkin remark to her with his head down in her lap and she broke a bottle of southern comfort over his head. Where did you read she had a fling with him?

Grace the White Rabbit was quite the vixen for a fixin in her time, so all credit to Jimbo on that one. I'm listening to White Rabbit right now and with a voice like that I'd have chased that rabbit round a few fields too!

Hi, I read about it on a website about Janice (just looking her up to see what the fuss was about) and I think she is mentioned in Sugerman's book.

Hi There BlueBus, well you never know for sure if Ji indeed have a fling with Janice, but from ALL I have read and deduced...I would say NO...mostly they had a hate relationship...or a lets see what I can do to piss him/her off attitude. So I would say my money on it is No.
I also read "Love Janice" written by Laura Joplin (Janice's sister) and ther is no mention of a fling with Jim...either..but you never know. Maybe somebody else on the board has some incite.
