Just a quick one, maybe you can provide an answer to. In the list of members online, it seems that Google.com and AskJeeves are near permanently listed. Whilst I'm happy that these corporations are apparently avid fans of The Doors message boards(!), I wonder why they aren't listed as normal members??!!!

dave probally knows better, but i always thought they were bots of some sort...companies send them out to boards and the sort..not sure why, i dont see the purpose

Those are search engine bots. They are computer programs that scour the boards and all of the topics. It goes through all the content and adds it to the search engines. Now, all of our stuff on the baord get's indexed. I'm glad it's going on. It drives traffic to the boards.

Very interesting...I was wondering the very same thing...as I see them (Google and askjeeves) listed most of the time , espically at night! Hmmmm

Wow! That was cool...but I'm shocked to see some other Mary-Beth (Crane)....I think it is logged there too, she even spells her first name like mine.....but my last name is Korutz-Killian...just for the record Anyway...too cool!! Thanks for sharring , Dave!
