I saw this BEAUTIFUL movie on Marice Richard, that just came out last week. The main actor is Roy Dupuis also know for his very static performances in Screamers and Nikita (the original was bad enough, the remake had to be worse) anyways, here he is very good, probably because the Rocket was a man of few words.

I liked it because it shows Richard's professional life within the local context of Montreal back in the 40es, but without victimizing nor accusing (even if Richard was more than obviously a victim). Hopefully this movie will go around, cause the microphone is too often given to the "haters" rather than the "seekers". We want solutions, not oil on the fire. This movie shows a part of our history, which is VERY misunderstood and it is told in a way that sure can be criticized, but it is done respectfully and should not be considered as an attack towards anybody, but the story of a victory.

The bilingual version of the movie will be available everywhere in Canada after Chrismas I heard. Ckeck it out, it's definately worth the while.

As much as I LOVE hockey, and know almost everything about Maurice Richard (I collected hockey stuff my whole live including a few Richard hockey cards, AND my dad was drafted by the Maple Leafs), this is a forum to talk about Ray's films. Sorry!
