Rumors are that Brett Scallions will be Scott Weilands replacement in Velvet Revolver. Remember its just a rumor but was curious to hear everyones thoughts....if this is true what does it mean to Riders on the Storm. Is this the last ROTS tour? What do you think?

Brett says not to worry. He says he'll be playing with Riders as long as Ray/Robby want him to.

Some people have suggested that I sing.
One person at myspace told me to contact Ray and show him my melodies.
I told him that Ray doesn't give a shit about me.
I didn't tell him that I wish to write my essays in a quiet and cosy atmosphere.
I didn't tell him how much the people's hostility towards me costed my relative's pocket a fortune in internet servers.
I didn't tell him that I'll run from pressure at the very first thought of it.
But I told him I would like John Densmore to be in the band.
However, I didn't tell him the inevitable reality: The Doors are dead.
I'm sorry.
I really am.

"waiting for her" i agree with you a bit, the doors are dead and done but never forgotten..ROTS takes us back to the music we love so much and give us a chance to see them perform even though John and Jim are not there too....
I do think though ROTS needs to be there for their fans, over the web all ive been reading is complaints after complaints on their shows. The recent one is a cameraman in the way of paying fans. This is so rude and a total disregard to you and i, the fan. Another big one is their website...hello-update it.

Scott Weiland did a pretty good job w/ Break on Through on the Stoned Immaculate album. If Brett did join Velvet, seems to me Scott would be free to front Riders. Hmmm?

Hey webby any chance we can hear from Ray on what the future holds for the band ?
It would also be great to hear what he has to say about playing the shows in mexico ,The current tour of europe, Future tours in the u.s. and any news regarding the new material that was recorded a few years ago.
I think it would be appreciated by all riders fans to hear his thoughts on what the future holds.

ED!!! Great to see you here! What's up? I didn't know you are a Doors fan too... or you are here just because of Ian and Riders?

Both. But I definitely took more of an interest when Ian partnered up with Ray & Robby. My devotion to The Cult clearly steered me in the direction of The Doors when I was a teenager. So it came full circle when ROTS happened. It was a pleasure seeing Ian play with his heroes.
But i'm glad he's back with Billy.......
