I am starting to notice certain verses about destruction and corruption relating to the event.

Read the prayer and think about the 9/11 events in its historical context and you may notice similarities.

Something to think about.

Mmmm. Interesting. I practically have all the lines of poetry in that album memorized from listening to it countless times but I don't know about any connections. Can you give me an example that seems to be parallel to the event? Tonight I'm going to listen to the album again all the way through to see if I can notice any, but I don't know too much about the incident because I don't get too much into politics and the news becuse its so depressing and corrupted. In fact I hate politics. I try as most as I can to stear in the complete oppisite direction from polotics, the hip culture, MTV, news and all that cause I think today people are so cought up in all of it its dumming out our perception and involvement in natural living and expereinces. I wrote a whole poetry book on it. Anyways I don't know too much information about all of that so it would be hard for me to synchronize with the relations in the album. So if you can give me a few examples....

It is.. I remember the day of 9/11.. I was feeling really emotional about it, so I played John Lennon's Imagine. Then just for no apparent reason, or because I love the album, I played Jim Morrison's American Prayer.

"Do you know the warm progress among the stars... do you know we exist?
Have you forgotton the keys to the kingdom... have you been born yet
and are you alive.."

It just hit me... sent shivers.. it all made perfect sense and Jim was totally right on. Then there is the end of that album... "A city rises from the sea..." It's definitly intruiging. Oh, how I LOVE the Doors! They are AMAZING... in every way. The Doors... I don't think Jim could even find the words to define just how much their music means to me.

"Oh great creator of being, grat us one more hour
to perform our arts and perfect our lives,
the moths and aethiests are doubly divine and dying.
We live we die and death not ends it."
