Evenin' all,

Nice to see the London date - does anyone know if they're planning to visit Manchester/Birmingham/Liverpool/Sheffield/Nottingham/Leeds/etc.? I've plucked for tickets early before, only to see dates closer to home confirmed later! rolleyes.gif And at risk of sounding whiny, why hasn't http://www.ridersonthestorm.com been updated? It can't help ticket sales when a band doesn't put up on it's own website when a gig is going to be on!

I once again offer my humble services as ROTS' European Tour Promoter... biggrin.gif

on the Seetickets site it says Exclusive U.K. show so looks like it could be the London gig only this time round!

RIDERS ON THE STORM
Doors founding members Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger return to the Forum in London for this exclusive UK show performing the songs that altered your perception.
http://www.seetickets.com/?e=rid+o+t+st

for anyone wanting to buy tickets it is cheaper from Ticketmaster.co.uk as the postage is over 2 quid cheaper then Seetickets! biggrin.gif

The Forum is a great Venue, been to many gigs there over the years,I was there just last month for 60's Garage Legends The Sonics,
there is a pub right next door to the venue too, if more U.K. gigs are being planned how about the South West please? Bristol, Exeter , Plymouth or Bath cool.gif

Any word on further British dates yet? My back garden still has several free slots in July blink.gif biggrin.gif

Seriously, a small-scale intimate gig at say the Night & Day Café in Manchester, or at The Cockpit in Leeds, or at The Cavern in Liverpool would be real nice. This is a band that really shines in smaller venues. The Corporation, Sheffield and La Scene, Paris spring most readily to mind as two of my favourite D21C/ROTS nights. cool.gif

PK smile.gif unsure.gif

Oh, is anyone from the boards going to the Hop Farm Festival in Kent to see Neil Young, Primal Scream, Supergrass, Rufus Wainwright, My Morning Jacket, The Guillemots, Laura Marling and Everest? At ₤49.50 a ticket, it's worth it for Neil Young alone, and I'd love for my motley crue of mates to meet my motley crue of board mates at some point! Should be a blast. cool.gif
gazza
No news on any other dates in the uk mate ohmy.gif And its starting ta get closer to the date hey.

As you said a nice little intimate show would be a treat and we gotta few of those little venu's here in Liverpool.

I keep going on about it but i am amazed the band has never played in my city as a show here would easily sell out in a in a venu the size of say the carling academy.

With the city's musical history i thought the band would love ta tick it off on the list of places they have been on tour.

gazza
So it looks like the date are set now for the tour ? Really sad the lack off news for the upcoming tour.
gazza
Even the schedule page aint got the new dates posted up.
gazza
A month ta go till the tour starts who got tickets for a gig ?
gazza
Be good if we could get a live dvd/cd from the upcoming london show the band could get this company

www.liveherenow.co.uk

Ta bring out a live cd of there upcoming u.k. show.

They are just like disclive who done the american tour a few years ago.

What do ya reckon Ray ?
Steven
Yeah, just saw Riders On the Storm about an hour ago in Antwerp for the second time and man... Riders for me still play the hottest Rock 'n Roll music ever. Wanna pay my respects to singer Brett Scallions who did a good job on the vocals. Phil Chen and Ty Dennis proved again their professional skills on bass and drums and of course Ray and Robby, they don't need any words... Icons to me, still paying respect to the creator of most of the material: Mr. Mojo, still Rising. I love you guys, your music is pure freedom. Thanks for letting me feel the joy Jim referred to, when he talked about 'Roadhouse Blues' in an interview once. I was grateful to see this band once, now I have seen them twice and I shure will go and see Riders a third time if I have the occasion. Lots of peace, love and greatings from Belgium! Steven.
gazza
Great to hear from you steven and great too hear the boys were on fire once again.
gazza
Were are all the reviews from fans who went to some of the shows on the recent tour ?
gazza
Another euro tour done and dusted then.
