I was just wondering if there was any update on the ROTS recordings? I'm not trying to be a downer, but it's kinda discouraging, I've been waiting and excited about this since I first heard about the guys getting back together. The songs they have are good.... no offense, but what's the hold up? I really think if they just record the songs release them (even on Starbuck's label, get that poetry/coffee crowd) then people will be really, really excited about ROTS they way we are.

Almost funny... when, during a show, Ray says that he hopes to have the new songs out on a "new Doors album" by the end of the year... and that was in 2003 !

Then again, he hadn't said by the end of WHICH year...

It still boggles the mind that, within ONE year, they released SEVEN live albums... but that almost six years after the fact there's not a single studio track out there...

I would certainly love a new dvd of the band with Brett on the vocals.

Are the band able to put out a dvd under the ROTS name ? or is that a no no due to the court action ?

no a DVD under Riders on the Storm would be fine

Do you think that they've enlisted Axl Rose to handle the vocals and are just maybe waiting on him to release Chinese Democracy first?
