I was just curious if anybody knows about purchasing or somehow accessing a DVD and/or CD of both the legendary Miami, 1969 and New Haven, 1968 concerts. I think it would be so great if full-length film footage and audio existed. Hopefully either Elektra, Bright Midnight or Doors Music Co. have something in the most fascinating "vaults." I purchased "The Doors Special Collection" DVD from Universal recently and noticed amidst an archive collage shown over "Roadhouse Blues" that there was a clip showing Mr. 'Mo Jo risin' getting taken down by police officers with a dazed, drunken expression on his face after he went "too far" during the New Haven concert. I know there must be more than just that clip you know. Can some of you veteran fans out there enlighten me? I am very interested in the shows where Jim really did become a black clad leather demon.

Thanks

No audio exists from New Haven 67, about 2 minutes of silent footage does, including the small bit in RHB, which is all that circulates.
A cut Miami audience tape circulates freely, footage is rumored but is not claimed or circulating.
Go find a tape of Cleveland 68 or Boston 70 (late show) for more of that type of show.

Buy the box set and and on Disk One 1st track it is 5 to 1 Recorded Live at the Dinner Key Auditorium, Miami, 1969. The night he was arrested. He was toasted. He oes into "Your all a bunch of @#%king slaves in your paper war!" I doubt they have footage.

A true Doors fan would have the Box Set by now and Read books people.

A true Doors fan would know that track is heavily edited and is not an accurate historical record of the event.

I have to agree that it was heavily edited and the sound quality was horrible. The original question was: Was there any audio or video of the event. Edited or not it's audio from that night. I will try and be more postive. Sorry. GS

I buy my info or cds and as well paid for my Limewire subsciption so there are many ways to aquire different viewpoints or ideas.

Open Limewire, click on the audio search button, type Jim Morrison interviews into the Title window, click search.

You will see The Doors- A rare 1970 interview with Jim Morrison, download it.

Listen to the part where he talks about the bar in New Orleans, this is true forshadow in regards to his future.

He says " I can't get it out of my mind" Did this mean he saw his future? or did this image direct his future?

Napoleon, exile, chaos. Jim, paris, chaos.

We interpret visionary graphical information in a forward or backward motion, this means: this reminds me of my past or this could be my future.

The paradox, the crossroads, the conflict within.

I just finished listening to the interview by Ben Fong- Torres in the spring of 1971, excellent conversation but the need for alcohol is always present and quick to aquire if you have an account and your name is Morrison.

I thought that the woman there was so solid and spoke of many cool things, what a great way to meet people.

Did you know that a woman killed the Count and as he died she robbed him?

Ahh, too bad, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, HaHaHaHaHa.

No Head stone for this papa son. smile.gif

I've tried to find out more about the count but the info is very thin to say the least.

Give us a taste.
We want it for the knowledge.
We are biased for the man.
Not against.
