As you probably knew, Ray produced them for a while, even playing keyboards on some of their albums. I don't think Danny was really involved. Danny was more into Iggy Pop at the time and managing him.

Danny managed Iggy Pop, Ray, and The Doors! He also wrote a book in the '90s on Guns and Roses.

I figured that since a year had passed since the last post on this topic, now would be the perfect time to bring this thread back from the dead!

Did you know that 'X' bassist & singer John Doe starred in the LA Women video Ray directed?

I gather he played the "murderer" ?

By the way, what exactly was Ray's involvement with "X" ?

Did he write/co-write any of their songs ?

Did he play keyboards or do back vocals on any of their (studio) works ? *

* In know he plays on the version of "Crystal ship" that they did for "The X Files", but any others like that ?

X was the best band in L.A. in the early 80's. Everyone, go get their first 2 albums. They're incredible. I saw them play about 8 times in the early days. First time was in 1980 at the Whisky, with Ray on keyboards. Very cool show-
